I stopped in Monday morning to ask Steve to listen to the noise my door lock was making. I was expecting to have to schedule an appointment but he went ahead and gave me a time estimate on getting and installing the part that day to rectify the problem. As I was unable to stay for the entire time, I asked for someone to drive me home so I could leave the car for repair and he automatically complied. I already bring my truck for service here and have just decided to stop taking my Toyota Rav 4 to the dealer for service. My experience is that you get great service at a fair price and they don't bombard you with things you do not need. I only wish they offered drop of service within 5 miles.I work at UNC Charlotte and although I believe C & S gets a fair amount of service from my co workers, I think more folks would switch to C & S simply due to convenience. An idea worth piloting. I had this arrangement when I lived in upstate New York. I stayed with the same shop for 17 years. Thanks for great service!

Took my truck in for an inspection and tire rotation. Failed inspection due to needing two new tires. Was charged for the tire rotation but when I was about to leave, I noticed that the tires had NOT been rotated. C&S had put a new tire on the front left for me just a few months earlier. C&S had plug a tire on the rear right only 2 weeks earlier. Both these tires were in the same position as well as the 1 older tire (real left) that still passed inspection. I went back in and asked the manager which tires were rotated and he said "You know, the usual rotation." I asked what would that be and he said "You know, move the fronts to the back on the same side." I asked him to pull up my last two service records, which he did, and he saw that (as I previously stated), they had plugged the rear right and before that put a new tire on the front left. I took him outside and showed him that the tires were still in the same location and he said "What would you like me to do about it? I can give you a credit on your next visit." I told him I would take a refund for that amount, which he did. At one time I would have recommended C&S but not any more. When it comes to mechanics and repair shops, once trust is broken, it cannot be repaired.

There was miscommunication between the GS and the Manager. Steve, the manager, did the right thing by refunding the fee for the Tire Rotation. We have called the Customer several times, but no return calls. I wish people would confront there issues, instead of hiding behind them. I believe there is more to it then just a Tire Rotation miscommunication. Have been in business for 15 years at the same location. It takes more then a tire rotation to lose TRUST in a Auto Repair Shop. Anything can be fixed if you want to, it`s up to the person. The Owner

I made an appointment for my car to have a routine oil change and when I brought it in, it was still waiting in the parking lot after 45 minutes. When I inquired, I was told, rather gruffly, that I had been "early" to my appointment. He then realized he had written my appointment down for the wrong time. No apology, no "we'll get you in and out asap"...on top of that, I could have sworn that C&S used to rotate my tires every oil change...now its an extra $15. Pretty disappointed in yesterday's service. There's been some change in staffing and the personal customer service I used to receive is gone.
